Low Level Airways

A low level airway is controlled airspace and extends from 2200 feet AGL up to but not including 18000 feet.

Reference: AIM RAC 2.7.1

VHF/UHF Airway Dimensions (two VORs)
  • 4 NM each side of centerline out to 50.8 NM, then a splay of 4.5 degrees

VHF/UHF Airway (VOR/NDB) and LF/MF (two NDBs) Airway Dimensions
  • 4.34 NM each side of centerline out to 49.66, then splay of 5 degrees

RNAV T-Route Dimensions
  • 10 NM each side of centerline (no splay), including:
    • 4 NM of primary obstacle protection
    • 2 NM of secondary obstacle protection
